" The Very Thought of You" beautifully sung by Natalie Cole .  Music and lyrics were written in 1934  by British bandleader Ray Noble. He emigrated to the United States and was featured on a number of radio programs with Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy and Burns & Allan. He also played the part of a stuffy Englishman in several Hollywood films. Despite being raised and trained in England, his compositions are very much in the tradition of The geat American Songbook and remain popular today. They include:
